Wheelchair Accessible

ADA Compliant portable toilets provide more space and additional features to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Vendors may also offer oversized units that exceed ADA requirements to provide a more comfortable experience for wheelchair users and families with small children.

High Rise Construction Toilet

High rise construction porta potties are portable toilets that are designed specifically for use on construction sites located in high-rise buildings. These portable toilets are a necessity for workers who need access to bathroom facilities while working on a high-rise construction project. They are typically lifted via a crane, making them an ideal solution for areas where traditional bathroom facilities are not available. Portable toilets for high rise construction sites are designed to be durable and reliable, and they often feature features such as ventilation systems, hand sanitizer dispensers, and waste tanks that can handle large amounts of waste.

Portable Toilet with Sink

A porta potty with a sink is designed to offer a convenient solution for outdoor events or construction sites. These units come equipped with a toilet and a sink, allowing users to maintain proper hygiene while on the go. The sink dispenses water from a built-in tank or a hose attachment, and some models even offer soap and paper towels for added cleanliness. Portable restrooms with sinks are typically self-contained, making them easy to transport and set up in virtually any location. it is important to note that these units will require a water source or freshwater tank.

Portable Sink

Freestanding portable sinks, also known as a handwash station, can be placed alongside your portable toilets for a convenient handwash station outside of the restrooms.  Handwash stations provides a convenient and hygienic way for people to wash their hands on-site at various locations, such as construction sites, events, or other remote locations. Portable sinks typically include a water source, a sink, soap dispenser, and sometimes a paper towel dispenser. Handwash stations are designed to be easily transported and set up, providing a practical solution for your needs.

Flushable Porta Potties

Flushable porta potties are an upgrade from your standard porta potty.  Flushable portable toilets include a freshwater tank or recirculating system. Flushable porta potties also incorporates a flushing mechanism to facilitate waste disposal. The flushing mechanism allows users to flush waste into a holding tank, which can be emptied by a service provider, providing a more sanitary and convenient solution for temporary sanitation needs at events and construction sites.  These units are most typically found at events.

Containment Tray

These trays, or spill basins, help minimize clean up and protect the surface where your portable toilets are located. Containment trays are designed to fit around the base of a portable toilet to catch spills that may occur during use, service or cleaning.

Mobile Trailer for Portable Toilet

Easily transport your portable toilet around a large jobsite and keep your restroom nearby. These restroom trailers hold a single portable toilet unit and provide convenient mobility for added flexibility.

Portable Toilet Lock

Secure your portable toilet when you are not home or your job site is not in use. When toilets are delivered the day before your event, lock kits are also a useful tool to ensure your portable toilet is not used before your guests arrive.

Hand Sanitizer

Provide the sanitation of a handwash station without the need for a water hookup or freshwater tank. Hand sanitizer stations are also a smart addition for larger events to provide ample opportunities clean hands and reduce the transmission of germs. Hand sanitizer stations are great for emergency and disaster relief, outdoor events, festivals, concerts, graduations as well as at parks, zoos, schools, offices and more.

Tips for Renting Event Toilets

How many toilets do I need?

Renting the right porta potty for your needs is about choosing the right unit types and quantities. For weddings and parties, you typically need 2 portable toilets for every 100 guests. However, we recommend 3 porta potties per 100 guests if there will be alcohol and 4 porta potties if guests will be staying for more than 4 hours.

Impress Your Guests

The best events aim to exceed guest expectations. When it comes to portable toilets, this means making sure you order enough portable toilets to ensure guests are not stuck waiting in long lines. To make guests more comfortable, we recommend upgrading to larger, more spacious units with flushing toilets and sinks.

Location Matters

Choose a location that provides easy access to drop off, pick up and service the portable toilets. An ideal location is centrally located and easily accessible to reduce frustration and save time for guests and workers. The area should be fairly level and somewhere water does not gather when it rains - nobody wants to walk through a puddle to get to the bathroom.

Tips for Renting Construction Porta Potties

How many toilets do I need?

A general guideline is one porta potty per 10 workers per shift. However, if the job is more extensive or spans multiple shifts, you'll need either more unites or more services. Porta potties are an essential part of any construction site and ensuring you have enough will keep both workers and visitors happy and comfortable.

Do I need to purchase additional cleanings per week?

Typically we recommend one porta potty per 10 workers per shift. If you are running 3 shifts either rent 3 portable toilets or purchase 2 additional cleanings per week.

As for delivery the day before your workers arrive

The portable toilet typically is the first thing on a job site. It should be there before your crew arrives. Ordering your unit for an early devliver keeps you covered in case there happens to be an issue with delivery.

Be specific on placement

The right placement can save your crew hours a day. Our Advisors are trained to help you provide the correct placement instructions to keep both you and your crew happy.

Frequently Asked Questions

With decades of experience in the industry, we know just about everything there is to know about portable toilets and sanitation services. Here are a few of the questions we hear the most from our customers.

How far in advance should I place my order for a porta potty?

plus minus
It’s best to reserve a portable toilet rental as far in advance as possible. During the busier warmer months, porta potty availability can be limited because of the increased number of events and construction projects. Delivery times vary based on the company, but most porta potties can be delivered within 48 hours of your order.

What is the capacity of a porta potty? (number of people it accommodates)

plus minus
Although the exact size varies by manufacturer, the holding tank of a standard portable toilet is between 50 and 70 gallons, which can handle 75-100 uses. For construction, we recommend 1 porta potty for every 10 employees. For a 4 hr event, we recommend 1 porta potty event for every 50 guests. However, if you are serving alcohol, we would recommend 1 porta potty for every 35 guests. We suggest you err on the side of caution, too many porta potties is a small problem, too few is a big problem.

Can I indicate the exact location of where the porta potty should be placed?

plus minus
Yes you can. Porta potties have to be placed on a dry, level surface and should be no more than 25 ft of where it can be serviced. We have certain restrictions based on accessing for service, but will do our best to accommodate your specific request.

What porta potty accessories should I consider ordering?

plus minus
Since not all portable toilets have a sink, our most recommended and popular accessory is hand sanitizer. This greatly improves the portable toilet experience, and keeps workers and event guests healthy in the process.

How do handwash stations work?

plus minus
The hand washing stations are stand alone units and have a reservoir of fresh water. The units are stocked with hand soap and paper towels which is included in the price. The water is controlled by a foot pump at the base of the unit which supplies water to the spout when pressed.

When will I be invoiced for the porta potty? Any additional fees?

plus minus
For recurring units, we generate invoices every 28 days. If the unit is requested to be removed prior to the end of the billing cycle, there would be no additional fees.

Will I be told the exact day and time that my porta potty will be arriving?

plus minus
After confirming the rental with the connected hauler, there is an email and text confirmation sent to the customer confirming the unit is on schedule and what day it will be delivered on.

What is the normal cleaning schedule of a portable toilet?

plus minus
The standard frequency of service is one time per week. Along with weekly cleaning, the supplies within the unit are replenished.

What are ADA restrooms?

plus minus
These units are wheelchair accessible restrooms that are A.D.A. compliant for use at an event or on a jobsite. They are larger than the average portable toilet and meet the standards that have been outlined by the ‘Americans with Disabilities Act’.

Where should I not place a porta potty?

plus minus
When it comes to placing a porta potty, there are a few locations that should be avoided at all costs.
  • Avoid placing the porta potty near any water source, such as a river, lake or pond. This can cause contamination and harm to the environment.
  • Avoid placing the porta potty near any food service areas or areas where people might be eating.
  • Avoid high traffic areas or places where people might gather, such as entrances or exits. This can cause congestion and an unpleasant experience for everyone involved.
  • Avoid slopes, slopes make it easier for the porta potty to fall over
  • Avoid your yard. You can place a porta potty on your yard but if the truck has to drive onto your yard you risk damaging your yard and any irrigation systems.

What is the difference between an event porta potty and a construction porta potty?

plus minus
There are 3 primary diffences.
  1. Intended Use: Event portable toilets are designed for temporary events such as festivals and weddings, while construction portable toilets are used in construction sites for an extended period of time.
  2. Features: Event portable toilets are typically newer and may have features like hand sanitizer dispensers, ventilation, and a more aesthetically pleasing design, whereas construction porta potties are more basic in design and functionality.
  3. Durability: Construction portable toilets

What do I do if my porta potty falls over?

plus minus
Firstly, make sure that any contents inside the porta potty don't spill out by closing the lid if possible. Next, assess any damage to the porta potty itself - if it appears to be structurally sound, you can try to right it with assistance from someone else. However, if the porta potty appears damaged or unstable, it's best to contact your ASAP Advisor and we will take care of the situation for you.

Can I use a portable toilet in the winter with freezing temperatures?

plus minus
The process of winterizing a portable restroom is something everyone who manages events or construction sites in cold regions should be aware of. Temperatures are rarely below freezing long enough to harden the wastewater in the South and Southwest, but people in Northern states, the Midwest, or Canada should confirm that winterizing portable toilets is part of their rental agreement in the winter season. Our number one tip to keep your porta potty from freezing is to have us deposit a chloride pellet mix into the toilet bowl with every servicing. ASAP Site Services will winterize your portable restroom rentals for a fee of $30 per unit.
